Arusha, Tanzania

Our club has sent a $2500 contribution to the “Lifted Strong Community Organization: (LISCO). Their core mission is to advocate for and support women from Tanzania, who have faced unimaginable hardships – battling HIV, domestic violence, poverty, and poor health. They believe in giving these resilient women a chance at a better life. Founded in early 2019 by two remarkable women, Eva and Joyce, LISCO emerged from a powerful vision to challenge the status quo. Witnessing the pressing need for education, empowerment, and advocacy among women in the Arusha region, they took a bold stand. They support 10-13 women in the program each year, and so far have supported 40 women. They teach English, health, business, math, kills and mentorship.

The funds provided by our club have purchased a color printer and scanner, a desk top computer, a laptop computer, a projector, classroom and office chairs, a sewing machine, and a laminator.
