Youth Scholarship Program

Each fall, the Josephine County Educational Fund (JCEF) solicits scholarship applications from local high schools. This year we selected a senior from each of three local high schools to receive a college scholarship. Scholarships are based on scholastic achievement, community service, school activities, work experience, financial need, candidate’s embodiment of the Four Way Test, candidate goals, letters of recommendation, intuitive assessment, and an essay from the candidate relating to Rotary’s Four Way Test.

Each school has its own scholarship committee comprised of Rotarians. Award recipients are announced at the school spring awards banquets, and later at a meeting of The Rotary Club of Grants Pass.

Here are the 2026 recipients, who each received a $2000 scholarship:

• Grants Pass High School: Sadie Hahn, Pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Hidden Valley High School: Juliet Dennis, Planning to become a kindergarten teacher. 
• North Valley High School: Natalie Miller, Pursuing a degree in Outdoor Product Engineering.
