THE ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Due to Covid-19 issues around the world, Rotary International has suspended the Youth Exchange Program one more year, until 2023. We will start recruiting students from local High Schools in the Fall of 2022 and begin to prepare them for a year abroad 2023-24. In the meantime, we would like to give you some information about one of the best exchange programs in the world.
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program provides thousands of young individuals the opportunity to meet people from other countries and experience their cultures. Rotary Exchange is a true exchange, for every student we send abroad, we accept a student from another country. As a Rotary Youth Exchange Student, you will spend a year in another country, living with host families and attending school. You’ll learn a new way of living, a new language, and a great deal about yourself. As you’re learning, you will also be teaching the people you meet about your country, your culture and your ideas. You’ll be an ambassador, helping to bring the world closer together and making some lifelong friends in the process, AND you’ll be promoting WORLD PEACE.
If you are ready for the challenge and the rewards of living in a host country as an exchange student, you will need to apply during the Fall. If you are accepted into the program, you will spend the next 9 months preparing for this great adventure. You will need to between the ages of 15-17 ½ when you apply. In the Fall, ask your school counselor about the schedule for Exchange Program presentations. If you need more information, the Rotary Club of Grants Pass club contact is:

Ann can also answer questions regarding “How to become Host Parents”. It is a rewarding program for the entire family to experience.
