Special Olympics
Anthony Hauckes has been a dedicated Special Olympics Oregon coach and board member here in Josephine County for more than 15 years, helping athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities discover confidence, build friendships, and achieve their personal best through sports.
At our July 22 meeting, Anthony gave a presentation about the Olympics, and introduced the local medalists from the most recent meet.

About our Club
Grants Pass Rotary started in January of 1924 when the President of the Medford Rotary Club along with several of its members met with local Grants Pass businessmen to discuss the formation of a local club. Over the years the Grants Pass Rotary Club has been distinguished by having some of the key people in the development of our area as members. As the town grew, so did Rotary. Today we have around 110 members representing a cross section of business and professional men and women of Grants Pass. The club has been a leader in community service projects as well as supporting the international aspects of Rotary through the Rotary Foundation.
Eradicating Polio

Owners Pema and Nurbu Sherpa of High Camp Restaurant lost three relatives, leaving 2 children orphaned. High Camp is a regular lunch spot after club meetings. Nurbu travels to Nepal to share donations from Rotary and community.
