This is a link to a presentation given at the October 2, 2019 meeting by Brigadier General Gregory T. Day. General Day is Director of the Joint Staff for the Oregon National Guard, as well as Deputy Commanding General – National Guard for U.S. Army Alaska. Responsible for command and control of five battalions and a Tactical Support Detachment, including a Stryker battalion that become a part of the Brigade in 2016. He also ensures preparedness and certification for National Guard Emergency Response within the CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package and Quick Reaction Force, and has additional duties as Post Commander for Camp Withycombe, Oregon. Day graduated from the United States Army War College in July of 2012 with a Master’s in Strategic Studies, he completed Advanced Joint Professional Military Education (Joint Forces Staff College) in 2014, and he has a JD from the University of Oregon. He is a graduate of the Army Officer Candidate School, the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Infantry Officer Advance Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School and the Command and General Staff College. He is a fully Joint Qualified Officer (JQS-III).
